We have rounded up our top 10 favourite motorcycle events, rallies and festivals, so you don't have to. Mark them in your calendars, and if you need a ticket, don’t delay, as the most popular events sell out early.
8 February Dragon Rally
Run by Conwy MCC since 1962, this old-school winter rally isn’t aimed at fair-weather bikers. But for those who can handle rain, wind and mud, it’s an absolute belter - super welcoming and highly addictive. Like-minded bikers coming together for what can be something of an endurance test means that the Dragon Rally is a very special weekend that creates lifelong friendships. Every year, the campsite is different; the destination is a secret until the day of the event, which helps keep it fresh and enables dragons to see a different part of magical Wales scenery.
12-13 April Kickback
The 30th edition of The Great Malvern Classic and Custom Bike Show at the Three Counties Showground, Kickback will feature over 250 stylish and beautiful custom bikes, butchered classics, cafe racers, choppers and original vintage classics on display - and many of their owners will be there to talk to, too. New for 2025 will be Kustom cars and hot rods. There's also a pro stunt bike show and demo test rides around the Malvern Hills. Kickback also hosts the 2025 National Championships for Custom Bike Building.
3-5 May Bennetts British Superbike Championship
It's fast (up to 200mph), it's furious, it's frenetic. Following the tests in April, the 11-round season gets underway at Oulton Park over the first May bank holiday weekend. It will finish in no doubt dramatic style at Brands Hatch on 17-19 October. In between, you can also catch the superbike action at Donington Park, Snetterton, Knockhill, Thruxton, Cadwell Park and the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands, aka 'The Cathedral of Speed'.
27 May – 7 June Isle of Man TT Races
An absolute standout - every motorcycling enthusiast has got to go to the TT at least once. These challenging motorcycle races have been held annually on the island almost every year since 1907. The USP here is that the circuit is 37 and three quarter miles of public highway featuring more than 200 bends. For close on two weeks, riders rocket around mountainous roads, country lanes, high streets and town squares at speeds of up to 200mph. The event pretty much takes over the island for a truly immersive biker experience. Book early for the best travel and accommodation.
27-29 June Adventure Bike Rider Festival
Held at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, this is a full-on, three-day mega professional outfit with a dazzling array of stages, exhibitors, trails, test rides, riding assessments, entertainment and accommodation options. It's growing fast, from a standing start in 2019, to 15,000 attendees in 2024 - it gets rave reviews and the early bird tickets are already sold out. We certainly had an epic time there this summer and can highly recommend.
24-27 July Armchair Adventure Festival
Now in its sixth year, the Armchair Adventure Festival was set up as an online festival during the pandemic, but it does now involve travelling to beautiful Cornwall - well, if you insist! Laid on by Matt and Reece (aka The Sidecar Guys), it’s a beachside weekend that celebrates the joys of adventure travel with inspirational speakers, great food, live music and activities ranging from orienteering to foraging and bread-making to silent disco.
26 July, Calne Bike Meet
Free, family-friendly, chilled-out bike meet in this pretty Wiltshire town, held annually on the last Saturday in July. This community-led event attracts thousands of bikes, from vintage to the latest models, and raises money for good causes. There’s good food, shopping and live music at the stage in Church Street. The event finale is a 35-mile scenic ride-out (this is ticketed).
9-10 August The Heritage Sprint
Our local, laidback and fun biker weekend near the sea in Deal, Kent, this has a lovely relaxed retro vibe, and is really good one if you've got some kids in tow. Think hay bales, goggles, campervans, cider and sidecars, but also some fantastic racing, exhibits and demos. There's plenty of time to get involved in this celebration of classic bikes. We like it so much that we sponsor it!
22-26 August Thunder in the Glens
TITG is the biggest chapter-run rally in Europe, with riders returning year after year to Aviemore in the glorious Highlands of Scotland for one big motorcycling party. You definitely don’t need to have a Harley to have a good time (although it may help). The atmosphere is super-friendly, there's plenty of stalls, music and entertainment - and the sights and sounds of Harleys cruising around the Cairngorms are out of this world.
15-23 November, Motorcycle Live
If you can only get to one mega motorbike show, head to Birmingham for this one. Over 40 exhibitors (so far), four halls and whole pile of rolling roads, test tracks, rider training and arenacross FMX. You can even learn to ride, as long as you are at least 14 years old. In short: your one-stop-shop for all the very latest and most exciting developments in the world of motorcycling.
