Roadskin® Taranis Elite motorcycle jeans for ladies,  AAA protection – in one cool and comfortable layer

Roadskin’s Taranis Elite ladies motorcycle jeans are our very latest jean and the first to provide the AAA safety rating in a single layer, as tested by SATRA Technology Centre in the UKThis is achieved by weaving the protective Kevlar®  fibres into premium denim, so they feel and look exactly like a regular five-pocket pair of jeans but give you the peace of mind that comes with wearing AAAs: the highest rated protective jeans on the market. The Taranis Elite also contains the prefect amount of elastane for stretch, ensuring you’ll be as comfortable on the bike as off it. And, really importantly, after listening to feedback, the waistband is higher at the rear making your riding draft-free....and discreet!  Please click on 'Size Charts' above for full measurements.

Cut with a slim to straight leg in a dark indigo denim, the stylish and lightweight triple-stitched Taranis Elite jeans will take you anywhere you want to go – they’re smart enough for work, tough enough to protect your skin and stylish enough for the bar. The slightly outward tapered cut at the bottom of the leg has been designed so that they will fit comfortably over your motorcycle boots.

Our motorcycle jeans are also lined with a special soft-feel mesh that not only helps keep you cool in summer months but more importantly protects your skin from tearing during the initial impact if you are involved in an accident.

Armour

Important information regarding motorcycle jean armour

It is very important to wear the armour provided with these motorcycle jeans, not just to help protect your bones but also to reduce the impact of the bone against the fabric in the key areas. The fabric is not designed to withstand impact injury, in the key areas, without armour.

Best fit guide

To find your best fit for our motorcycle jeans, please do the following:

Grab your favourite pair of jeans. Then measure across the waist in inches. Double that to get the waist size.

Then measure from the crotch of the jeans to the end of one leg. With both measurements to hand, you are ready to order.

Ladies Roadskin Taranis Jeans - Industry Review

Kate Chorley - More Bikes Magazine

I don’t always get on well with bike jeans. I’ve often found them a little too thick, occasionally uncomfortable, and frequently ill-fitting – but this pair from Roadskin are just right.

All in all, I’ve been very impressed with these jeans from Roadskin. While it’s easy to get drawn in by the biggest names in the game when looking at new gear, there’s no doubt that the UK firm offers plenty of bang for your buck and is well worth a look. I’ve already got my eye on a few more bits from them...

Ladies Motorcycle Jeans Testing & Ratings

Since 21st April 2018 all motorcycle clothing has to be certified as PPE or Personal Protective Equipment by law.

Clothing is classified to different levels AAA being the most protective down to C being the least. Loosely speaking you can say that they are most suited to the type of riding below but always go for the highest if possible.

  • AAA Motorways and higher speeds
  • AA Touring
  • A City or Urban use 30mph and below
  • B No armour so not advised
  • C Waste of time

This testing is done by certified bodies both here (we use SATRA) and abroad under the standard EN 17092-2.

Caring for your motorcycle jeans

Keeping your motorcycle jeans in peak condition is important not just for how they look but for your safety – you might say, there’s a lot riding on it!

Once you’ve settled on a favourite pair, and worn them in, and they’ve become a faithful friend in pretty much every and any riding situation, you’ll want them to last forever.

We have all heard about the denim aficionados are reluctant to wash their jeans, but motorcycle jeans are different. Not washing them means that they will inevitably degrade over time, thanks for grime, grease and sweat.

We have produced a guide on keeping them clean and in tip top condition.
