The Summer Edit: Dakota Jacket + Spencer Jeans Bundle
Warm-weather riding shouldn't mean roasting in heavy kit or stripping back on safety to stay cool. The Summer Edit (saving over £45 if bought separately) pairs two of our most popular pieces, the Dakota Armoured Summer Motorcycle Jacket and the Spencer AAA-Rated Motorcycle Jeans, into one ready-to-ride bundle that keeps you protected, comfortable, and looking sharp when the sun finally shows up.
Bought together, you get a complete head-to-toe setup built for British summer riding, with proper armour, breathable fabrics, and that all-day wearability we're known for. It's everything you need for the season in one go, and it costs less than buying the two separately.
Why Buy the Summer Edit as a Bundle?
Most riders end up cobbling together their summer gear over time: a jacket here, a pair of jeans there. The Summer Edit takes the faff out of it. You get a matched set of AAA-rated motorcycle clothing designed to work together, so you're sorted for everything from a quick blast to the coast to a long Sunday ride with your mates.
Here's what makes this summer riding bundle a smart buy:
- Save money: bundling the Dakota and Spencer together costs less than two separate purchases.
- Stay cool, stay safe: both pieces are built for warm weather without dropping their protective credentials.
- Look the part: casual, modern styling that works on the bike and at the café stop.
- Direct to your door: premium gear delivered straight to you, with personal support if you need a hand with sizing.
Dakota Armoured Summer Motorcycle Jacket
The Dakota is our go-to summer motorcycle jacket for riders who want airflow without giving up protection. Lightweight, breathable, and packed with armour, it keeps you cool through the warmer months while still having your back if things go wrong.
Dakota Key Features
- Stays cool on hot days: breathable, ventilated construction designed to keep air moving as you ride.
- Protects where it counts: CE-rated level 2 Rheon armour included as standard, so you're covered straight out of the box.
- Comfortable all day: a relaxed, casual fit that feels just as good off the bike as on it.
- Built to last: durable materials and solid construction made for regular summer riding.
- Easy to wear: modern styling that doesn't scream "motorcycle gear" the moment you step off.
Spencer AAA-Rated Motorcycle Jeans
The Spencer jeans bring the protection up to the highest standard. AAA-rated and built for comfort, these motorcycle jeans look like everyday denim but pack serious safety underneath, ideal for warm-weather rides where you want to stay protected without the bulk of full leather.
Spencer Key Features
- Top-tier protection — AAA rating, the highest level for motorcycle clothing, for genuine peace of mind.
- Comfort that lasts — a relaxed cut and flexible fabric that moves with you on long summer rides.
- Wear them anywhere — proper jean styling means they look right at the pub, the shops, or the saddle.
- Armour ready — fitted with protective armour for the spots that matter most.
- Made to ride hard — tough, abrasion-resistant construction built for real-world miles.
The Perfect Summer Riding Setup
Together, the Dakota and Spencer give you a balanced kit for the season. The jacket keeps your upper body cool and protected, and the jeans handle the rest with AAA-rated safety and everyday comfort. Whether you're commuting through town, touring the back roads, or just enjoying a few months of decent weather, this is summer motorcycle gear that lets you ride with confidence and stay comfortable from the first mile to the last.
It's the kind of setup we'd wear ourselves, because we do. Designed by riders, tested on real roads, and built to keep you safe without making you sweat for it.

Motorcycle Jeans Sizing Guide
At Roadskin®, we believe in keeping it real. When we say a pair of our jeans has a 36-inch waist, it measures 36 inches around the waist, no sneaky surprises. If the inseam says 30 inches, you can bet it’s 30 inches long. Actual numbers. Actual measurements.
Finding Your Size - The Right Way to Do It
The best way to determine your correct Roadskin® Motorcycle Jean size is to grab and measure a pair of jeans you love. Yes, it takes a moment, but it’ll save you a lot of hassle later.

FAQs
What are CE ratings and why are they important?
Since 21st April 2018 all motorcycle clothing has to be certified as PPE or Personal Protective Equipment by law. Below is a brief summary of testing and classification for your information.
Clothing is classified to different levels AAA being the most protective down to C being the least. Loosely speaking you can say that they are most suited to the type of riding below but always go for the highest if possible.
- Class AAA Motorways and Higher speeds
- AA Touring
- A City or Urban use 30mph and below.
- B No armour so not advised
- C Waste of time
This testing is done by certified bodies both here and abroad under the standard EN 17092-2.
Roadskin Products
All of our protective motorcycle gear is tested in the UK by SATRA or INTERTEK Italia S,p.a and you can find our declarations of conformity here.
Caring for your motorcycle jeans
Keeping your motorcycle jeans in peak condition is important not just for how they look but for your safety – you might say, there’s a lot riding on it!
Once you’ve settled on a favourite pair, and worn them in, and they’ve become a faithful friend in pretty much every and any riding situation, you’ll want them to last forever.
We have all heard about the denim aficionados are reluctant to wash their jeans, but motorcycle jeans are different. Not washing them means that they will inevitably degrade over time, thanks for grime, grease and sweat.
We have produced a guide on keeping them clean and in tip top condition - view the full guide.
Motorcycle Jeans Sizing Advice
Numbers That Mislead
Have you ever wondered why you’re a size 38 in one brand, a 36 in another, and then somehow a 39 elsewhere? It’s frustrating, right? Those numbers are supposed to represent accurate measurements but often don’t add up.
Committed to Perfect Sizing
At Roadskin®, we believe in keeping it real. When we say a pair of our jeans has a 36-inch waist, it measures 36 inches around the waist, no sneaky surprises. If the inseam says 30 inches, you can bet it’s 30 inches long. Actual numbers. Actual measurements.
Production Variability
That said, denim can be a tricky beast. Different washes and how our protection layers interact during production can slightly affect sizing. We do everything possible to keep those variances small, but no one's perfect! Even with our commitment to accuracy, mistakes happen. We're only human. Mislabelling or production hiccups can sneak in occasionally. Thankfully it's rare, but if that happens, shout. We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure you have the correct size and fit.
Finding Your Size - The Right Way to Do It
The best way to determine your correct Roadskin® Motorcycle Jean size is to grab and measure a pair of jeans you love. Yes, it takes a moment, but it’ll save you a lot of hassle later.
Waist Measurements
Lay your jeans flat and pull the waistband out tight (but not stretched beyond its natural limit if there’s any give). Measure from one side of the inside waistband to the other, then double that number. Boom, that’s your waist size. If you find you are between sizes on the waist (i.e 35",37" etc), our advice would be to go DOWN a size. Our jeans have 5% Lycra® in them, so have a nice amount of stretch to accommodate that extra inch!
Inseam Measurements
Lay one leg flat and straight. Measure from the cuff edge up the inseam to where it meets the crotch seam. Remember to follow the seam curve to get the most accurate measurement.
Take the time to measure once, and ride in comfort forever. Got questions? Reach out, we’re here to help.
