Here at Roadskin, we're always looking to up our game by creating better motorcycle jeans than the ones that came before. One way of doing this is by adapting the best bits of our various award-winning motorcycle jeans and incorporating them into one big brand-new pair with one particular aim. Are you in the market for a reassuringly high-quality, super-safe motorcycle pair of jeans that is as stylish as protective? Then the new Paranoid X is for you.

Taking as our starting point our bestselling winter double-layer motorcycle jeans (the Paranoid), we then integrated the latest fabric and construction technologies of our bestselling single-layer Taranis jeans. This new pair of jeans has two easy-to-wear, protective layers. The outer denim layer is the same as the existing Taranis and achieves an AAA (highest possible) safety rating just on its own. The inner lining is 100% Kevlar®. Now that's what I'm talking about!

The resulting jeans are a hybrid of incredible abrasion resistance but with the benefit of flexibility, stretch, and only a slight increase in weight over a standard pair of quality, heavyweight cotton jeans. This is the Paranoid X: safety, style and warmth in one package: already a Gold winner of the Bennetts High-Performance Award.

If there were such a CE rating of AAAA, then these jeans would pass with flying colours (allegedly)

The materials selected for the Paranoid X create uniquely strong, resilient, and comfortable jeans. The outer layer comprises a cotton/ DuPont™ Kevlar®/Lycra blend. The jeans are fully lined with 100% DuPont™ Kevlar® and, naturally, come supplied with Level 2 knee and hip armour.

As a result of this combination, the Paranoid X motorcycle jeans provide optimal performance in colder climates and the UK weather, making them ideal for riding and touring during winter and spring. Whether exploring the beautiful landscapes of northern Europe and Scandinavia or conquering the mountainous regions of the USA and Canada, these jeans will keep you warm, comfortable, and protected. Also, the A1 between Newark and Newcastle, too!

Their double-layer construction offers superior insulation and durability, ensuring you can focus on the road, stay safe, and thoroughly enjoy your ride even in challenging weather conditions. So gear up with Paranoid X and experience ultimate comfort, style, and performance on your biking adventures.

We asked Roadskin founder Ian to tell us about the inspiration behind the Paranoid X jeans

'Primarily, this is about protection,' explains Ian. 'There's something about having two layers that give riders confidence. We're using the Taranis denim, which is AAA-rated all on its own, then layered it with a stretchy 230g Kevlar® lining, so it's right at the top of the tree in terms of safety. For some people, single-layer jeans - even an AAA-rated one - won't feel as safe as reality. Psychologically, they feel reassured by wearing thicker jeans. The Paranoid X is perfect for these riders. The Paranoid X bike jeans are also warmer, which is good for spring and autumn - just not for that month of hot weather we get from time to time!'
