Motorcycle Jeans Sizing Guide

At Roadskin®, we believe in keeping it real. When we say a pair of our jeans has a 36-inch waist, it measures 36 inches around the waist, no sneaky surprises. If the inseam says 30 inches, you can bet it’s 30 inches long. Actual numbers. Actual measurements.

Finding Your Size - The Right Way to Do It

The best way to determine your correct Roadskin® Motorcycle Jean size is to grab and measure a pair of jeans you love. Yes, it takes a moment, but it’ll save you a lot of hassle later.

Great jeans! Very highly rated on Bennett’s bike social for protection, and I highly rate them for comfort.

Jeans are very comfy being fully lined they are warm in colder climates. Well packaged and presented highly recommend them.

Quick delivery, easy to order.. Comfortable light weight stretch well.. A little warm in heatwave conditions perfect rest of times..

Excellent quality.fit really well. And great to know if I do come off I’m protected spot on

Great quality jeans, arrived really quickly and they are very comfy, slightly on the heavy side but I would rather have this and be AAA rated for full protection, they are definitely cooler and lighter than leather trousers. Definitely recommend them.

Delighted with the quality, wrong size (went too big as there is a bit of stretch, but return was easy and customer service communication excellent. I have done 250 miles now in genuine riding comfort. Did a lot of research before choosing Roadskin but wanted to support a UK company. Have had no issues with the recent heat being double layered.Subsequently purchased the Cole jacket which I am equally delighted with. No hesitation in recommending

.

Superb jeans, my second pair!

Great service Fantastic quality of the jeans 10/10

Really happy with the quality of the jeans. Done a few rides in them now and find them really comfortable and stretchy. Really warm so no need for base layers. Size fitted spot on and pads sit just right. I would highly recomend buying a pair.👍

Excellent fit and well made.

The experience I had from the company was first class. The jeans were labeled incorrectly, but on contacting the company Mark was quick to rectify the problem. The jeans themselves are comfortable and well made. I have now ridden 1300 miles wearing them in 5 days. I would certainly recommend them as my brother did to me.

Great fit. Would highly recommend. The are the best.

Love the jeans. They are comfortable and I feel safe in wearing them.

These are quite stretchy so you may need to size down depending on how you like your jeans to fit. I got a 36 but ended up returning and ordering a 34 which are a really good fit. They ooze quality and are clearly very well made and look great with my Goldtop leather jacket…best for spring and late summer l recon when it’s a little cooler as the lining makes them warmer than standard jeans but the protection on offer is very good…not flown off the bike to try and prove this and have no plans to do so but if l did l’d prefer to be wearing these to save my skin over a single layer biker jean any day no matter what the AA / AAA ratings say !

Ordered these after I realised one of my favorite pair of bike jeans offers little more protection than a wet paper kitchen towel. I’m a genuine 35-6 inch waste with a 32 inside leg, ended up settling on the 34 regular, and they fit really nicely, they do look like normal pair of jeans, in fact my wife thought they were a normal pair of jeans. I’d say they are a 501 style cut, so a little wider in the leg. Quality is definitely there, they are fully lined, the Kevlar is almost like a towelling finish, wore them on Tuesday when it was 32 degrees, they were uncomfortable in that heat, but every set of bike jeans I’ve worn tends to be uncomfortable in those temperatures. However having put about 300 miles into them in mid 20’s heat they have been perfectly fine. Really, really like them, have to say, they have good stretch and have proven to be all day comfortable, that’s riding on a GS and an SP and wandering about seaside towns. My new favorites, may buy the single layer now….awesome!

Have not worn them in anger as yet, tried them on and they fit great although found them a little bit hot as was a very warm day so saving them for cooler days. Then went a brought a pair of Taranis Roadskin jeans which are single layer and are the best fitting jeans I have ever had. Might even go for a pair of Roadskin Cargo jeans for really hot weather. Have brought a few things from Roadskin and never had an issue, quality and customer service are first rate.

Super comfortable, good protection and look good

If your thinking of buying them just go for it they are superb!!

Was looking for new jeans as my last were unceremoniously removed after a head on collision. I have been looking at various ones on line while recovering and these definitely looked the very thing. I am glad to say these jeans have lived up to my expectations, good fit, very comfortable and look great to boot.

First time wearing them today, very comfortable and feel like a top quality garment hopefully a lot more miles will be undertaken in them.

Great communication prompt delivery excellent product would certainly recommend

Decided to opt for the Paranoid X as most of my riding is in the mornings so wanted the extra insulation. Ordered in my regular jeans size, due to the stretch in the fabric I went down a size…. Perfect fit! The pockets for the body armour sit in the right place and the armour supplied is good for the job on my maiden ride. I upgraded to some Ghost armour as I prefer armour flat but molds to fit and breathable which was great in the 25+ degree heat. In the past I have had two pairs of base layer leggings, which have theirs pros and cons and one pair of armoured jeans. This is my second pair of jeans and I’m happy with them. Thank you Roadskins👍🏻

Best jeans I've ever worn. The quality of these jeans are amazing. Fit perfect very warm look great. Try a pair you won't regret it. Puts all the other makes to shame.

Best fitting jeans I've ever had .True to size nothing more to add they are the best

I’m in LOVE with my Roadskin Paranoid X Jeans. They are hefty, well made, well-fitting pair of jeans. I love the ability to adjust the position of the knee armour and the overall construction of the jean. I think the hip armour could’ve been bigger in size to ensure protection, but I’m not bothered too much about this.

Brilliant jeans, saving up for a jacket now. Roadskin products and customer service are second to none in my opinion.

I can vouch for how good these jeans performed. They protected my to the full extent, during my accident. It took 3 sets of paramedic scissors to cut them off.

Great Jeans. Fitted.love them.

Great fit great item well made perfect and good value for money

Very good quality. Fit is good. Packaged nicely. Thick material keeps the cold air off too

Excellent jeans

Great fit and feel great on. Feel safer.

Jeans very well made and comfortable also keeps legs warm

Very comfortable and well made, will definitely be buying more.

Thick heavy duty and warm to wear in slightly colder weather stylish and comfortable to be able to walk around in with the AAA rating

Friday 13th First time to get out with them on a day which was dry’ish, and cold, circa 6 degrees. I collected my new bike and rode for 4 hours. As usual the knee armour kept the Chill at bay on the area exposed to most of the wind blast but the double layering was appreciated everywhere else. They fit well, are sized right and are really well made, thanks Roadskin!

WORTH IT 👌 I was looking for something more comfortable than my usual winter/spring textile trousers. As I already have a RoadSkin Easyrider 2 I was aware of the company's products quality so ordered a pair of Paranoid X AAA rated jeans. I used sizing guidelines from their YouTube vids and it turned out to be correct. The jeans are indeed 'heavyweight' and ideal (for me) for winter/spring days when ambient temperature is above about 2/3°C but still very comfortable. The quality is definitely up there and as expected. The armour is also very comfortable to wear and unobtrusive. All in all I would highly recommend the Paranoid X AAA jeans.

The Paranoid X, very comfortable riding jeans, the double layer really does reduce the cold weather, I'm usually in a 32" leg, but i bought the 34", due to me thinking, when your knee is bent on the bike the draft will travels up your leg, now that I've worn these on the bike, the 34" legs is not needed for me, the jeans provide that little bit of stretch, the 32" leg will provide plenty of length, now i know when i purchase the next pair. Ride Safe

High wasted for more protection at the waist, alittle long but great quality!

FAQs

What are CE ratings and why are they important?

Since 21st April 2018 all motorcycle clothing has to be certified as PPE or Personal Protective Equipment by law. Below is a brief summary of testing and classification for your information.

Clothing is classified to different levels AAA being the most protective down to C being the least. Loosely speaking you can say that they are most suited to the type of riding below but always go for the highest if possible.

  • Class AAA Motorways and Higher speeds
  • AA Touring
  • A City or Urban use 30mph and below.
  • B No armour so not advised
  • C Waste of time

This testing is done by certified bodies both here and abroad under the standard EN 17092-2.

Caring for your motorcycle jeans

Keeping your motorcycle jeans in peak condition is important not just for how they look but for your safety – you might say, there’s a lot riding on it!

Once you’ve settled on a favourite pair, and worn them in, and they’ve become a faithful friend in pretty much every and any riding situation, you’ll want them to last forever.

We have all heard about the denim aficionados are reluctant to wash their jeans, but motorcycle jeans are different. Not washing them means that they will inevitably degrade over time, thanks for grime, grease and sweat.

We have produced a guide on keeping them clean and in tip top condition - view the full guide.

Motorcycle Jeans Sizing Advice

Numbers That Mislead

Have you ever wondered why you’re a size 38 in one brand, a 36 in another, and then somehow a 39 elsewhere? It’s frustrating, right? Those numbers are supposed to represent accurate measurements but often don’t add up.

Committed to Perfect Sizing

At Roadskin®, we believe in keeping it real. When we say a pair of our jeans has a 36-inch waist, it measures 36 inches around the waist, no sneaky surprises. If the inseam says 30 inches, you can bet it’s 30 inches long. Actual numbers. Actual measurements.

Production Variability

That said, denim can be a tricky beast. Different washes and how our protection layers interact during production can slightly affect sizing. We do everything possible to keep those variances small, but no one's perfect! Even with our commitment to accuracy, mistakes happen. We're only human. Mislabelling or production hiccups can sneak in occasionally. Thankfully it's rare, but if that happens, shout. We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure you have the correct size and fit.

Finding Your Size - The Right Way to Do It

The best way to determine your correct Roadskin® Motorcycle Jean size is to grab and measure a pair of jeans you love. Yes, it takes a moment, but it’ll save you a lot of hassle later.

Waist Measurements

Lay your jeans flat and pull the waistband out tight (but not stretched beyond its natural limit if there’s any give). Measure from one side of the inside waistband to the other, then double that number. Boom, that’s your waist size. If you find you are between sizes on the waist (i.e 35",37" etc), our advice would be to go DOWN a size.  Our jeans have 5% Lycra® in them, so have a nice amount of stretch to accommodate that extra inch!

Inseam Measurements

Lay one leg flat and straight. Measure from the cuff edge up the inseam to where it meets the crotch seam. Remember to follow the seam curve to get the most accurate measurement.

Take the time to measure once, and ride in comfort forever. Got questions? Reach out, we’re here to help.
