Ian Meets... TeaPotOne aka Bruce - Roadskin®

Part one of 'Ian meets...' series - where Ian of Roadskin Motorcycle Wear meets and interviews well known and less well known members of the motorcycling community. This first interview is with Bruce - aka TeaPotOne - a chap with a very successful vlog channel and touring company.

A bit more about Bruce - in his own words:

Born in 1976 in Aberdeen, north east Scotland, grew up in a wee village called Mintlaw and eventually moved to London in 2000 to join the Met police, where I eventually joined the Diplomatic Protection Group providing armed protection for the Prime Minister, Diplomats and other VIPs. Started riding motorbikes in 2008 after I promised my mum before she died that I’d live out my dream of riding a motorbike around the world (I watched Long Way Round and was hooked).
2012 I left to ride around the world on my 2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000, got back June 2014 after riding 74,000 miles through 54 countries in a trip called ’TeapotOne’ and the brand was born.
Returned to the police after the trip but never really felt like I fitted in anymore, started doing weekly YouTube vids at the end of 2016 and in April 2020 I resigned from the Met and went full-time on YouTube, making vids around motorcycles and motorcycle travel.
Also started the ‘Bru Time’ podcast where I chat with people with interesting stories to tell which exemplify my “Live Your Life” mantra.
My plan for the future is continue travelling, meeting new people and promoting my ‘Live Your Life’ ethos.
