These motorcycle jeans for men, in dark indigo blue achieve the highest possible protection rating - AAA – in one cool and comfortable layer
Crafted from premium denim interwoven with durable Kevlar fibres, these single-layer motorcycle jeans maintain the natural appearance and comfort of a classic five-pocket design while delivering top-tier safety.
The Taranis Elite motorcycle jeans for men also contains the perfect amount of elastane for stretch, ensuring you’ll be as comfortable on the bike as off it.
Taranis Indigo Motorcycle Jeans Features:
Our Taranis motorcycle jeans are designed with a special mesh lining. This lining serves two important purposes. Firstly, it helps to keep you cool during the hot summer months. Secondly, and more importantly, it provides a layer of protection for your skin in case you are involved in an accident by minimising the risk of tearing during the initial impact.
Cut with a straight leg in dark indigo denim; the stylish and lightweight triple-stitched Taranis Elite jeans will take you anywhere you want to go – they’re perfect for the road, stylish enough for work and great for the pub. They are especially suitable for touring in all climates except the coldest (for cold weather, we recommend our Paranoid X AAA motorcycle jeans).

Sizing Guide
Please watch our sizing video lower down to ensure you order the correct waist size, especially if you are ordering from the USA/CAN as sizing criteria differs slightly. The required inside leg length is measured at the point where the jeans meet the crotch, down to the ankle seam.
Do you prefer thinner, lighter and cooler motorcycle armour?
Our Taranis Elite jeans come with Level 2 Smoothways armour as standard at no extra cost. However, for riders who prefer an alternative, Roadskin® has partnered with RHEON™ to offer the option of purchasing their Level 2 knee and hip armour, which are compatible with these jeans.

At Roadskin®, we believe in keeping it real. When we say a pair of our jeans has a 36-inch waist, it measures 36 inches around the waist, no sneaky surprises. If the inseam says 30 inches, you can bet it’s 30 inches long. Actual numbers. Actual measurements.

High waisted so good fit for bike
Came slightly larger than expected so dropped a size 34 to 32 Reg to short - exchange was a breeze!!
Replacement perfect fit with a bit of Lycra give!!
Very pleased
Love the high waisted stretch fit, when I am on the road, can easily reach the forward controls on my Harley and can walk around with them feeling like my usual Levi 501s. Hopefully I will never need to know how they perform in an accident.
Having been recommended by a close friend, I was hopeful that these jeans would meet my expectations. Well they did and indeed exceeded them. The waistline for my 34'' Long was perfect and the material was very reassuring. For the first time I had protective knee pads that were located in the right place and I love the idea of having different retainers to move them up or down. These are by far the best riding jeans I have bought and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Well don RoadSkin.
Really happy with these, the fit well and hold the kneepads in a good position. I am in between leg lengths so will alter them myself. Very comfy and cool whilst feeling safe.
This is the second pair of tarinis I have purchased. My first pair are black and I wanted a pair to tour Europe, these should be cooler. They are great to ride in and wear all day.
Bought two pairs of these. One for me and one for my wife for an upcoming Spanish tour.
We upgraded the knee armour which was offered when ordering. I can highly recommend the upgrade and the jeans. Quality product and fit 👍
Staff at Roadskin were excellent in dealing with queries regards sizing etc. . Price was reasonable for AAA rated bike jeans and delivery was very quick. I am delighted with the jeans which fit well and look great. A big bonus is the included knee and hip armour. Thank you so much from a very satisfied customer.
Great Jeans!
I'm 6'7 with a 35 inch inseam, i purchased the 34inch leg and they are a really good fit, especially when wearing my boots.
Material is great. First pair of premium bike jeans I've bought, have gone cheaper before and the difference is night and day! Very comfortable. I've done just under 3 hours on the bike wearing them and the comfort was fantastic. It was hitting 32° and at no point did they feel massively uncomfortable.
Will definitely buy another pair
Steve
I have legs like tree trunks and normally have to go for oversized baggie bike gear but I risked ordering my actual waist size and because of the stretch in the denim these fit really well and for the first time, I can go out on the bike wearing jeans that protect me and also are comfortable and look like normal jeans when I’m off the bike. I would definitely recommend these jeans.
Absolutely fabulous product. These are the best jeans I've bought so far and fit really well. Worth every penny and the free gloves that come with them are a great pair of gloves.
I already had tried Hood (terrible fit and heavy), Richa , (dreadful) , Rokker (lovely, very expensive and not comfortable ) Halvarsons (terrible fit, awful armour ) and now Road Skins.
Well made, lightish and a good fit. Well placed armour and just right to fit over my Daytona boots. Very comfortable after a fairly long ride.
Excellent value for money and will buy again.
Taranis Elite are fantastic motorcycle jeans. Absolutely a perfect fit for me, knowing the jeans are AAA rated gives me that extra reassurance while riding. Top product.
After completing a 3,000-mile road trip to the Italian Dolomites, I can confidently say these single-layer AAA-rated motorcycle jeans exceeded my expectations. They were incredibly comfortable during long days in the saddle, with no pressure points or discomfort, even after hours of riding.
The single-layer construction made a noticeable difference in warmer temperatures, providing excellent breathability without compromising on the reassuring AAA safety rating. They also performed well across a wide range of conditions, from cool mountain passes to hot valley roads.
The fit remained comfortable throughout the trip, the build quality proved excellent, and they still look as good as they did before setting off. For anyone looking for motorcycle jeans that combine genuine protection, all-day comfort, and understated style, these are an outstanding choice. I wouldn't hesitate to wear them on my next long-distance adventure.
I’ve tried a few jeans from other shops and not found a pair that fits without looking like grandad jeans until now! I’ve been told I’ve got rugby legs , so when I’ve tried jeans before there is pressure on the knee with the thinnest of cat2 armour in. Not the case here with Roadskin . They fit and look great and still comfortable at 30 degrees! Thankyou Roadskin 🫡
Given I wore these in 35-38 degree heat, I can’t say they were uncomfortably hot. Hot yes, but comfort was never an issue. They feel good. They feel strong. They are flexible. Very well made with years of development and continuous thought.
Top class
So comfortable and gives you a real sense of protection whilst you are wearing them. It was so easy to size and they are a great fit. I normally struggle with Jean sizes but these are perfect.
size true to sizing guide, fit well and comfortable. knee protection a little bulky but will upgrade to level 2 armour, all in all pleased with my purchase
I absolutely love these jeans, just what I was looking for. They look just like regular jeans when off the bike and feel assured I’m protected when on the bike. Well worth the money. Excellent customer service, totally recommend
19 hours and 460 miles ridden in two extremely hot days wearing brand new Roadskin Taranis AAA rated jeans. Cafe stops. Climbing up hillsides. Steep steps. No stiffness or resistance at all. No sticky sweaty feeling. Forgot I was wearing them.
Customer service exceptional. Problem with large thighs. Staff suggested Relaxed Fit version. (Not on website!). Measured them while on the phone. (Short version of long story!) Super quick delivery.
Thoroughly recommend the product and the truly exceptional customer service!
These are legit quality riding jeans with great protection. Very impressed. You won’t be disappointed buying these jeans. BUT don’t make the same mistake I did. I was between sizes and DID NOT take the sizing recommendation to go with the smaller size. It’s always been wrong in the past but they know their product. Out of the washer they’re fine but after a few hours riding I’m tugging on them.
Was hard to initially figure out the correct size. A little annoying have to pay for reports after spending £190 both times. But the product itself is top notch and I complain with that
"They’re a straight cut and I’ve worn them all day in the office, strolled around at bike shows and even spent an evening up the pub without anything other than a comment on how smart I look for a change. The Roadskin Taranis Elite fit true to size, look great and are amazingly comfortable, and for the price and level of protection they offer, incredible value for money."
— Justin Hayzelden - MCN Magazine.Tested for four months
"The Roadskin Taranis jeans are superb value AAA-rated single-layer jeans that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to those looking for some comfortable, practical urban-style kit."
— Bennetts Bike Social Review
"They're perfectly comfortable and I could easily sit and work in them all day after wearing them to commute. They look the part, too, and you could easily wear them to ride to the pub and not feel conspicuous. The fabric is thin enough to keep you cool on warmer days an I've been wearing them into autumn with a base layer underneath."
— Ben Clarke - MCN Magazine
"These Roadskin Taranis have quickly become my favourite riding jeans mostly because of the fit and all-day comfort they provide."
— Glenn Roberts, Canadian MotoMojo Magazine

FAQs
What are CE ratings and why are they important?
Since 21st April 2018 all motorcycle clothing has to be certified as PPE or Personal Protective Equipment by law. Below is a brief summary of testing and classification for your information.
Clothing is classified to different levels AAA being the most protective down to C being the least. Loosely speaking you can say that they are most suited to the type of riding below but always go for the highest if possible.
Class AAA Motorways and Higher speeds
AA Touring
A City or Urban use 30mph and below.
B No armour so not advised
C Waste of time
This testing is done by certified bodies both here and abroad under the standard EN 17092-2.

All of our protective motorcycle gear is tested in the UK by SATRA or INTERTEK Italia S,p.a and you can find our declarations of conformity here.
Caring for your motorcycle jeans
Keeping your motorcycle jeans in peak condition is important not just for how they look but for your safety – you might say, there’s a lot riding on it!
Once you’ve settled on a favourite pair, and worn them in, and they’ve become a faithful friend in pretty much every and any riding situation, you’ll want them to last forever.
We have all heard about the denim aficionados are reluctant to wash their jeans, but motorcycle jeans are different. Not washing them means that they will inevitably degrade over time, thanks for grime, grease and sweat.
We have produced a guide on keeping them clean and in tip top condition - view the full guide.
Motorcycle Jeans Sizing Advice
Numbers That Mislead
Have you ever wondered why you’re a size 38 in one brand, a 36 in another, and then somehow a 39 elsewhere? It’s frustrating, right? Those numbers are supposed to represent accurate measurements but often don’t add up.
Committed to Perfect Sizing
At Roadskin®, we believe in keeping it real. When we say a pair of our jeans has a 36-inch waist, it measures 36 inches around the waist, no sneaky surprises. If the inseam says 30 inches, you can bet it’s 30 inches long. Actual numbers. Actual measurements.
Production Variability
That said, denim can be a tricky beast. Different washes and how our protection layers interact during production can slightly affect sizing. We do everything possible to keep those variances small, but no one's perfect! Even with our commitment to accuracy, mistakes happen. We're only human. Mislabelling or production hiccups can sneak in occasionally. Thankfully it's rare, but if that happens, shout. We’ll do whatever it takes to ensure you have the correct size and fit.
Finding Your Size - The Right Way to Do It
The best way to determine your correct Roadskin® Motorcycle Jean size is to grab and measure a pair of jeans you love. Yes, it takes a moment, but it’ll save you a lot of hassle later.
Waist Measurements
Lay your jeans flat and pull the waistband out tight (but not stretched beyond its natural limit if there’s any give). Measure from one side of the inside waistband to the other, then double that number. Boom, that’s your waist size. If you find you are between sizes on the waist (i.e 35",37" etc), our advice would be to go DOWN a size. Our jeans have 5% Lycra® in them, so have a nice amount of stretch to accommodate that extra inch!
Inseam Measurements
Lay one leg flat and straight. Measure from the cuff edge up the inseam to where it meets the crotch seam. Remember to follow the seam curve to get the most accurate measurement.
Take the time to measure once, and ride in comfort forever. Got questions? Reach out, we’re here to help.
